NFA Cup draw produces exciting clashes

The Namibia Football Association has produced several mouth-watering fixtures, with some of the country's top teams set to face off in what promises to be an exciting round of knockout football.

One of the standout fixtures is the northern derby between Eeshoke Chula Chula and KK Palace, a match expected to produce fireworks.

Eeshoke Chula Chula coach John Sikerete welcomed the draw and assured supporters that his side would be ready for the challenge.

"It is an important fixture for us and we will do our best to secure victory.

"Players do not need motivation for a derby match, and it is definitely going to be a game not to be missed.

"We will be up for the challenge," said Sikerete.

Eeshoke Chula Chula finished second in the 2025/26 season following an impressive campaign.

KK Palace also enjoyed a strong season, finishing in the top eight.

Their coach, Sakaria Kambonde, welcomed the draw, although he admitted he would have preferred to face their rivals later in the tournament.

"It is a draw we have to accept because we know this team very well and they remain our biggest rivals.

"One would have loved such a match to take place in the semi-finals or even the final.

"We will not shy away from them and will give them the challenge they are looking for," said Kambonde.
