Unbeaten Team Bobaii leads Kharas 3x3 Basketball League

Team Bobaii leads the Kharas 3x3 Basketball League standings after the fifth round of fixtures at the Diaz Primary School court on 22 August.

The unbeaten Team Bobaii, coached by Michael Immanuel, has Eino Seblon, Aron Eliakim and Benjamin Abed as its players. Team Bobaii which scored 88 baskets and conceded 37 baskets, is at the top of the log with 10 points from five matches.

The log leaders opened the day's action with an 18-6 victory over second-placed Lüderitz Windbreakers with 8 points (3 wins and 2 defeats) before beating Wildhorses 21-5 in their second match. Lüderitz Windbreakers is coached by Akinbiyi Odunlade, with Lameka Lameka, Marcelino Toroli and Tjaritjo Humu making up the team.

Blacktop Ballers edged Space Jams 10-9 in a closely contested match before beating Wildhorses 15-10. In the final match of the day, Space Jams beat Lüderitz Windbreakers 14-8. Space Jams, Blacktop Ballers and Wildhorses all have seven points from five matches, with two wins and three defeats each. Space Jams is placed third, followed by Blacktop Ballers in fourth and Wildhorses in fifth position. NHE Hoops, in sixth position with two points from two matches, and Golden Wind, occupying the last place on the table with one point from a single match, withdrew from the league. 

"The next round of games is scheduled for 29 August, with seven games for each of the five teams remaining before the playoffs," confirmed Kharas 3x3 Basketball League administrator Akinbiyi Odunlade.
