Mariental still setting the pace in SSFD race  

Mariental FC extended their unbeaten run in the Namibian Football Association (NFA) Southern Stream First Division league with a 1-0 victory over Friends and a goalless draw recorded against City Boys. The log leaders scored 16 goals, conceded only two goals and collected 23 points from 11 matches (6 wins, 5 draws). 

In other NFA Southern Stream First Division action, Dates Eleven improved their position on the log with two victories over Celtic (2-0) and Blue Boys (3-2). Quiver also collected maximum points with victories over O&L Ramblers (3-1) and Orlando Pirates (2-1). Quiver is currently placed second on the log with 22 points (7 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats) and with a pending disciplinary case involving Celtic. 

Try Again slipped into the third spot on the log with 19 points (5 wins, 4 draws and 2 defeats) after a 0-0 draw against Blue Boys and a 2-1 defeat handed to them by Celtic. Young Brazilians is placed fourth with 18 points (5 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats). City Boys defeated Young Brazilians 2-0 and Young Brazilians redeemed themselves with a 3-0 victory over Friends. 

City Boys is placed fifth on the log with 15 points, with Celtic (sixth) on 15 points with a pending disciplinary case involving Quiver, in hot pursuit. Friends (14 points) is placed seventh on the log, followed by Dates Eleven (12 points), Orlando Pirates (12 points) and Blue Boys (11 points). Oranjemund (11 points) and O&L Ramblers (5 points) are placed at the bottom of the log and could be relegated if they do not improve their positions with positive results.
