FlyNamibia has announced the launch of scheduled flights between Eros Airport and Lüderitz, marking a strategic partnership with Shell Namibia Upstream B.V. aimed at strengthening connectivity and supporting economic activity in the coastal town.

The flights, operating from 2 April to 22 April 2026, come at a time of increased movement of people and services to Lüderitz. This temporary schedule is designed to ensure that residents, workers, and business travellers have access to safe, reliable, and efficient air transport during a period of heightened demand.

FlyNamibia said that the collaboration reflects a shared commitment between FlyNamibia and Shell to contribute meaningfully to local communities while reinforcing critical transport links. It said that by improving access to Lüderitz, the initiative is expected to support business continuity, enhance mobility, and facilitate the movement of essential goods and services.

FlyNamibia CEO Nerine Uys said the partnership underscores the airline’s role in enabling regional connectivity when it matters most. She noted that the flights go beyond transportation, serving as a lifeline for livelihoods, economic participation, and operational efficiency in a region experiencing growing industrial and commercial activity.

Shell’s involvement highlights its broader commitment to supporting infrastructure and community development in Namibia. Through this partnership, the energy company continues to invest in solutions that promote resilience, opportunity, and sustainable growth in key regions. For Lüderitz, a town increasingly positioned at the centre of economic expansion, improved air access is expected to unlock new opportunities for local businesses while easing travel for professionals working in the area.

As FlyNamibia expands its footprint, the airline remains focused on connecting communities across the country, ensuring that even remote regions benefit from dependable and accessible air services.
